Program Description

Drones, or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), are revolutionizing the way we work. From construction projects to aerial photography to emergency response activities – drones are an essential tool for image capture and data collection. Effective June 2019, if you fly a drone that weighs between 250 g and 25 kg, you are required to have a Basic or Advanced Operations RPAS Pilot certificate as per Transport Canada Legislation.

Mohawk College offers training that will prepare students for the Transport Canada Basic and Advanced Operations online exams, as well as the Advanced Operations in-person Flight Review.

Courses are delivered at the Mohawk College Fennell Campus.  Ground School is also available online. In all courses, students receive both theory and practical instruction, led by expert instructors.

Custom and on-site delivery options are available.  Email CE Technology and Skills for more information.
