Program Description
Specialize your nursing skills with a graduate certificate in Diabetes Education!
There are over 11 million Canadians living with diabetes or prediabetes (opens in new window).
Explore the clinical approach to diabetes education through online theoretical courses and field placements. Examine the essential elements of diabetes control, considerations during various phases of life, teaching strategies for clients living with diabetes and more.
This program is designed for those already working as a health professional, looking to enhance their knowledge and skills. An excellent step towards certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) (opens in new window).
Continuing Education students usually complete this program in five terms.
Courses in this program cost approximately $400 each. Textbooks are extra.
