Course Description

In the age of social media, communicators need to be ready to deal with crises at faster speeds than ever before. Explore topics covering internal and external crises, dealing with an unexpected crisis, using appropriate language in a crisis, and planning for a crisis. Using real-world case studies, learners critique steps taken to handle crises, prepare communications to be used in a crisis situation and create a social media crisis plan for a community organization. 45 hours
