Course Description

Learn how to de-escalate a potentially violent individual using techniques devised by the National Crisis Prevention Institute. This course is designed for anyone who faces potentially explosive situations on a daily basis. Cost of book is included in course fee.

NVCI training offered through Mohawk College, Continuing Education is currently only open to Mohawk College students completing the Autism & Behavioural Sciences, Concurrent Disorders, and Social Service Worker programs. For further assistance with registering, please contact your academic area:

This course requires in-person attendance and active participation. Participants must wear comfortable clothing and rubber-soled, flat shoes (no sandals). Course fee includes workbook.

Effective Fall 2023, CONF10013 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention will be replacing this course.
