Course Description

Examine the public health sciences related to infectious diseases prevention and control, and emergency preparedness and response, taking into consideration legislation and public health policy in Canada, and apply these concepts and approaches to the public health nursing roles and responsibilities. Proof of current RN registration or graduate nurse registration (e.g. College of Nurses of Ontario certificate of registration in the Temporary Class) with the respective provincial/territory regulator is required to register.

Foundations of Public Health Nursing Practice (NRSG10134) AND Epidemiology for Public Health Nursing (NRSG10135) AND Social and Ecological Determinants of Health and Health Equity (NRSG10136) AND Community/Population Health and Clinical Decision Making (NRSG10140)
