Program Description
CNC Operators produce machined parts by interpreting programs to set up and operate a computer numerical control (CNC) machine with a focus on maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. You will benefit from hands-on practical training in safety procedures, setup and operation of HAAS Lathe and Milling CNC machines. Learn to create quality products and make the most of innovative technology.
Micro-credential Information:
On completion of the 3 courses listed you may apply for the stacked Micro-credential for CNC Operation (1055).
You may also apply for an individual Micro-credential upon completing each course: CNC Operator - Lathe (1005), CNC Operator - Milling (1006) and Blueprint Reading Mechanical (1004).

Admission and Registration
You do not need to apply to begin this program. Simply ensure you meet the requirements listed on the Admission Requirements webpage prior to registering.
- Completion of Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology (MCT4C) or any U level is recommended.
- Experience in machining is beneficial.
Interested in taking a single course? Provided you have the appropriate prerequisites, the courses in this program can be taken individually.
