Program Description
Metal Fabrication is the process of building metal objects using cutting, welding, bending and assembling techniques. In this series of courses designed for those seeking to develop skills as a hobbyist or to explore a new career, students will learn a basic introduction to the types and applications of metal fabrication including safety, measuring and layout, blueprint reading, tools and equipment as well as hands on production of projects using various techniques.

Admission and Registration
You do not need to apply to begin this program. Simply ensure you meet the requirements listed on the Admission Requirements webpage prior to registering.
Technical Recommendations: You require basic welding skills which will be verified by the instructor during the first class. If you need to acquire these skills see Welding Introduction - Level 1 (WELD10073) or Welding for Women - Men Welcome (WELD10197).
Interested in taking a single course? Provided you have the appropriate prerequisites, the courses in this program can be taken individually.
