Program Description
Expand your knowledge and skills in the operating room environment!
Operating Room Attendants are an integral part of the O.R. team, responsible for ensuring a safe, clean environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Through a combination of theory and fieldwork practice, you will learn the skills to become confident in the operating room environment, learning key communication skills, infection control, patient positioning, and more. Operating Room Attendants must pay attention to detail, have dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to use operating room equipment and surgical tools.
Designed for individuals who do not have a nursing background, learn from industry experts to help prepare for real-world practice. Health care aides and personal support workers may be interested in this specialty training for entry into the Operating Room Attendant profession.
