Program Description

Accounting is fundamental to any successful business! Learn the basics of applied accounting and bookkeeping, along with key skills to help you effectively manage the finances in your own small business, bookkeeping practice or other ventures.

Computer software has significantly changed accounting practices by standardizing processes and procedures for recording and communicating financial information. Through a combination of accounting theory and practical application, this program focuses on developing foundational skills and then moves into mastering integrated accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Sage 50, cloud-accounting software and more.

By enrolling in Integrated Accounting (099), you will be aligned with Canada’s largest and fastest-growing certifying body of bookkeepers. Graduates can fast-track toward the nationally recognized Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation. Students will also have access to a preferred student membership rate (opens in new window), full of member benefits (opens in new window) that will provide access to continuing education and networking opportunities with bookkeeping professionals across Canada!

Continuing Education students usually complete this program in twelve to twenty eight months. The typical workload is five to ten hours per course, per week.
