Program Description

Focus on identification, assessment and prevention of triggers of responsive behaviours in older adults with dementia. Learn to identify the signs and symptoms that lead to responsive behaviours. By engaging in a variety of practice activities and scenarios, you will recognize different types of triggers (e.g., environmental, physical). Understand why, when and how to use different care planning assessment tools and how to engage effectively with family and caregivers.

Intakes are available in the Fall (September), Winter (January), and Spring (May).
