Course Description

This Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) accredited course is mandatory training for individuals wishing to obtain a Gas Technician (G3) Certificate of Qualification. The G3 course covers Modules 1 through 9 of the TSSA Gas Technician 3 Curriculum (Dec 2002) including safety, fasteners, hand and power tools; properties, characteristics, and safe handling of propane and natural gas; installation codes, acts & regulations; introduction to electricity; technical manuals, specifications, schematics, drawings & graphs; customer relations; introduction to piping & tubular systems; and introduction to gas appliances. Successful completion requires a minimum of 80% attendance for each of the theory and practical sessions and a minimum grade of 75% in each of the theory and practical components. 180 hours.
