Course Description

This course covers basic differentiation and integration with their applications. It includes the following topics: differentiation of algebraic and transcendental functions, indefinite and definite integrals, as well as various methods of integration, numerical integration included. Applications of derivatives include: tangents and normals, motion, related rates, curve sketching, maximum and minimum problems, linear approximation, basics of mechanical systems and electrical circuits. Applications of integrals include: motion, areas, volumes, average values, center of mass and electric circuits.
