Course Description

Apply the basic rules of integration and table of integrals to determine indefinite, particular and definite integrals. Evaluate definite integrals manually and with the specified calculator. Solve a variety of applied technical problems including area under curves, arc length, surface area, centroids of area and mass, work to stretch a spring and to empty tanks and moment of inertia of an area and mass. Use the average ordinate method, trapezoidal and Simpson's rule to determine the appoximate value of a definite integral.
