Course Description

Learn the airbrake system and components. Earn your 'Z' Air Brake Endorsement on your Ontario License, as required by The Ontario Ministry of Transportation. Test & Booklet included. When you have successfully completed the endorsement course, you need to report to a DriveTest Centre within 6 months to add the Z endorsement to your licence.

You must have a full class "G" licence (Ontario) before you register.

You will:

  • Learn about the airbrake system and components.
  • Understand the importance of proper inspection of airbrake equipped vehicles.
  • Comprehend the Provincial and Federal requirements related to drivers, operators and manufacturers.
  • Be able to pursue qualification to drive a vehicle fitted with an air brake system or an air-over-hydraulic brake system.

At the end of the training program, you will complete a written and practical test. Upon successful completion of both, you will be provided with the documentation to take to a Drive Test Examination Centre and have the Z endorsement added to your licence.

NOTE: The "Z" endorsement will apply only to your current ONTARIO licence classification. Once you have successfully completed the endorsement course, you must report to a DriveTest Centre within 6 months to add the Z endorsement to your licence.
