MRI Physics and Instrumentation. Explore the fundamental concepts involved in MRI physics, including systems components, instrumentation and physical principles as they relate to basic imaging methodologies. Explore patient and image based imaging artifact. Consider the association between imaging parameters and tissue weighting. Distinguish between protocols used in practice. Examine MRI and ancillary equipment quality control / quality assurance processes.
