Course Description

Examine the nursing assessment and care of the moderately ill and/or preterm neonate. Topics include preterm birth from the neonatal perspective, assessment of the "at risk" infant, thermoregulation, nutrition, infection and respiratory problems. Critical appraisal will also be discussed as a means to evaluate the quality of research evidence.
