Course Description

Examine the nursing assessment and care of the moderately ill and/or preterm neonate. Topics include preterm birth from the neonatal perspective, assessment of the "at risk" infant, thermoregulation, nutrition, stabilization and transport, developmental and family centred care, infection and respiratory conditions. Prerequisite: NRSG10103.

Perinatal Nursing: Labour, Delivery and Newborn Care (NRSG10103) OR Perinatal Nursing Part 2 (NRSG10056)
