Course Description

Identify basic quality theories and tools including, definition of quality, ISO and industry specific standards, quality models such as TQM, continuous quality improvement, and quality Gurus. Investigate strategic quality planning, statistical process control, measuring, inspection, and customer related topics such as complaints and customer satisfaction including topics such as root cause analysis, cause and effect, Pareto, 8D, 5Y, and process mapping. An introduction to six sigma, Kaizen, Lean and cost of quality is introduced. Quality dashboards, KPIs, supplier quality, and training and development explained.
