WORK10596 - Field Placement
Course Description
This course is field placement in the Autism and Behavioural Science field.You must register in WORK10151 at the same time as this course.
Students are required to complete all Preplacement Requirements, to be eligible to attend placement. All requirements must remain valid for the entire duration of the Placement. To register for this course complete the Placement/Seminar Request Form, as special approval is required.

Upon registration, students are to submit a Placement Planning Form.
Students applying for placement are encouraged to complete their registration as soon as the Continuing Registration period opens. Registration dates for each semester can be found here. Please note that registration for placement courses is only available during the designated Continuing Education registration period. Late registrations will not be accepted. Students who do not register within the semester’s Continuing Education Registration timeframe will be required to wait until the next available semester to enroll.
Requirements to be completed prior to registering for placement:
Students are required to complete Preplacement Non-Academic Requirements (NARs). This is an additional cost (above tuition/ancillary fees and textbooks). More information can be found on the Preplacement Services website. Students are required to complete their preplacement Non Academic Requirements (NARS) prior to registering for placement courses and students are not able to register for placement courses until they are complete.
Important Notes:
A vulnerable sector check/VSC Police check (valid for 6 months). Securing a VSC is required prior to registering for your placement courses and is the responsibility of the student to ensure that the VSC is complete and valid for the entire duration of their placement. Students will not be able to attend placement if their Non Academic Requirements (NARS) is not completed prior to registering for your placement course. There is a cost associated with this that is the responsibility of the student. We attempt to locate a placement based on student preference, however this is not guaranteed. Placements occur mainly during business hours and students must be available to complete hours within the semester in a block of time.
