Course Description

Examine the structure and function of the human body including the digestive system. Compare and contrast body function from the mechanical level to cellular level with a primary focus on digestion, absorption and organ function. Develop knowledge pertaining to safe food handling including food borne illness, hygiene, microorganisms, time and temperature and storage before challenging the Safe Food Handlers certification.
