Course Description

Analyze human and non-human remains to reconstruct identity and context. Explore the basic principles, concepts, and techniques behind paleoanthropology, bioarchaeology, and forensic anthropology. Identify and use the human skeletal system to determine sex, ancestry, trauma, and disease. Use basic research principles and technologies (as they pertain to cultural and biological artefacts) within anthropology to reconstruct the past.
