Course Description

Gain knowledge and appreciation of the fermentation process and major grape varieties used in global wine production. Learn about the major wine producing regions in the New World, the vinification process, proper storage and serving of wine, wine tasting and evaluation principals. It will also emphasize the basic framework for how wine qualities are designed and described throughout the major wine producing countries, with a significant focus on Ontario. Included in the course fee of $50 are wines and upon successful completion, the Wine Council of Ontario Certificate of Merit.
