Course Description

Examine definitions, types and applications of telemedical technology in healthcare systems including telecare devices, telesurgery and telehomecare platforms. Inspect technical development options in subjects such as communication networks and services, patient monitoring, information processing, information technology in alternative medicine and virtual hospital, and caring for the community. Design a simple telemetry system using medical sensors and evaluate the performance. Assess critically and analytically clinical telehealth and telemedicine system deployment aspects.
