Course Description

Examine the various testing and medical procedures commonly encountered in pregnancy, including their pros and cons. Compare the different roles of members of the health care community involved with pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Use a trauma-informed approach to perinatal support.

Students completing the Family Care Specialist - 1078 program must reach out to cehealth@mohawkcollege.ca to receive approval to register in this course. 

Students completing the Perinatal Support Worker - 1077 must meet the pre-requisite course to register in this course.
