Course Description

Examine the profession of social service work and explore micro, mezzo and macro levels of practice. Examine anti-oppressive practices and social justice as well as, the social structures that influence people's lives and how various sources and forms of oppression shape individuals, families and communities.?

This course follows a lecture-based delivery model. Weekly lectures are held virtually on Thursdays from 6:30pm-9:30pm EST through Zoom Video Conferencing. A link to the Zoom lecture will be provided by the instructor prior to the first class. Course content will be accessed through MyCanvas starting on the official course start date.
