Course Description

This is an introductory course providing fundamental knowledge of the field of Child and Youth Care, focusing on the evolving development of the profession including historical perspectives, relational practice, professional caregiving, and diversity. Broadens an understanding of the Indigenous community and experience. Application of the domains of Child and Youth Care practice is explored as they relate to the professional and personal growth of a CYC.
