Course Description

Examine the ethical practice of social work through the exploration of the historical development of Social Work as a profession in Canada. Investigate the history of society's response to meeting human needs; the evolution of the values and ethics in the social work profession; and the process of developing a framework for identifying, analysing, and implementing ethical dimensions of practice.

This course follows a synchronous delivery model with live virtual lectures. These online lectures will be scheduled at various points throughout the course, with other weeks dedicated to independent work. Course content will be available on MyCanvas starting from the official course start date, and the lectures can be accessed through MyCanvas as well.
