Course Description

Illustrate appropriate techniques to be used in Medical Device Reprocessing, including but not limited to PPE, hand hygiene, mechanical and manual cleaning processes. Examine various equipment used and their sterilization techniques.

Students are required attend all five scheduled lab dates. Please check Section Notes for specific course offering information (subject to change). 

Students are required to complete HLTH10223 – Preplacement/Clinical Services , not part of the program of study, prior to registering for their placement clinical or to be eligible to attend labs. All requirements must remain valid for the entire duration of the practicum.

To register for this course complete the Student Clinical/Placement/Lab Request Form, as special approval is required.
