Course Description

Understand the needs of families with infants, children and adolescent members. Develop intervention strategies with a particular focus on disadvantaged families, parenting, and child welfare concerns. Review reporting guidelines. Investigate concepts of family functioning and develop a framework for understanding interactions and patterns that both support and challenge family function. Examine the impact on violence in intimate relationships, with an emphasis on women abuse.
