Course Description

We spend nearly 90% of our time indoors, which makes designing high-quality interior environments not just a choice, but a key responsibility for today’s building professionals. To address this growing need, this 40-hour training, split in 4 micro-trainings, highlights the core pillars of a healthy and high-performing indoor environment. Participants will explore essential topics in this first development phase: air quality, thermal comfort, acoustics and biophilia. These four avenues will be structured to allow participants to register for and complete either individual modules or the full program seamlessly. Firmly anchored in the Canadian context, the course draws on the requirements of the National Building Code and Health Canada standards. The learning experience is further enriched by insights into biophilic design and the WELL certification framework.
