Course Description

Examine normal growth and developmental patterns of children as they change from the neonate, through infancy and toddlerhood. Consider milestones, behaviours, abilities and emergent skills of these key periods of development. Interpret behaviour from a developmental perspective aimed at meeting the holistic needs of children within a particular stage/age range. Apply study the theories, principles and neuro-research of child development.

Students may complete Child Development 1 (EDUC10051) as an online equivalent course.
