Course Description

The course is designed to introduce the student to more complex design principles, building upon the fundamentals presented in the introductory pneumatics course. Students will familiarize themselves with the cascade method of design and will be exposed to the electrical control aspects of valves. Students will be well versed in the application of relay logic and basic PLC programming utilizing hand held units on multi-cylinder trainers simulating a typical industrial application to automate a production process.
