Course Description

Discuss ethnicity, racism, and multiculturalism and use sociological perspectives to analyze how they impact Canadian society. Explain intergroup dynamics, within a Canadian context, and analyze how this impacts on social inequality. Recall historical and contemporary immigration policies, identify the problems and challenges of Canadian immigration and emigration, and investigate the consequences of these policies have on the issues of diversity in society.
