Course Description

Equip aspiring phlebotomy instruction educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach and guide future phlebotomists. Examine curriculum development, adult learning theory, instructional techniques, assessment and evaluation, phlebotomy standards, and training guidelines.

Learners must be a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to receive approval to register for this course. Please email a confirmation or copy of your CPT credential to cehealth@mohawkcollege.ca. 

 

Upon completion of the below steps, you may earn the professional title, Certified Phlebotomy Instructor (CPI). 

Steps to becoming certified:

  1. Successful completion of Mohawk College Phlebotomy instructor Training Course.
  2. Become a member of the Canadian Phlebotomy Technicians Group Inc.
  3. Apply for the Certified Phlebotomy Instructor Certification.
