Course Description

Apply knowledge and skills of occupational health nursing in a preceptored clinical placement. Focus will be on provision of care related to Occupational Health nursing practice.

Students are required to complete HLTH10223 – Preplacement/Clinical Services , not part of the program of study, prior to registering for their Clinical/Placement or to be eligible to attend. All requirements must remain valid for the entire duration of the Clinical/Placement. Students are required to also complete all theory courses prior to registering for their Clinical/Placement. 

To register for this course complete the Student Clinical/Placement/Lab Request Form, as special approval is required.

Occupational Health and Surveillance (HSCIOHN02) AND Health and Safety Legislation (HSCIOHN03) AND Health and Safety Management (HSCIOHN04) AND Health in the Workplace (HLTH10030) AND Ergonomics and Disability Management for Occupational Health Nursing (MGMT10020) AND Health Assessment (HSCI10151)
