Course Description

Analyze the definition of family, and examine family theories, models, frameworks, and tools including Indigenous ways of knowing to guide a family assessment and promote family health in collaboration with the family across the life span and in various contexts such as home or community service or at a population level. Examine maternal and child health, and healthy aging. Examine Registered Nurse prescribing in supporting and strengthening families.

Foundations of Public Health Nursing Practice (NRSG10134) AND Epidemiology for Public Health Nursing (NRSG10135) AND Social and Ecological Determinants of Health and Health Equity (NRSG10136) AND Community/Population Health and Clinical Decision Making (NRSG10140)
