Course Description

This Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) accredited course is the second of four mandatory training courses for individuals wishing to obtain a Gas Technician (G2) Certificate of Qualification. The G2 Part 2 course covers Modules 10, 13, 15, 17 and 22 of the TSSA Gas Technician 2 Curriculum (Dec 2002) including advanced piping & tubing systems; building as a system; gas meters, pressure regulators & relief valves; conversion burners and venting practices. Successful completion requires a minimum of 80% attendance for each of the theory and practical sessions and a minimum grade of 75% in each of the theory and practical components. 120 hours. Pre-Requisite - must have successfully completed the Gas Technician 3 training course.

Course Delivery: Hybrid (combination of online and in-class). Each week students will have one class online and one class on campus.

Gas Technician 3 (GOPTRE244) OR Fuel Applications 1 (MOTPST208) AND Control Systems 1 (STENST211)
