Course Description

Apply knowledge and skills of pediatric nursing acquired from prior nursing modules in a preceptored clinical placement. Focus will be on provision of care to pediatric patients and their families in a community setting.

Registration for this course is restricted. 

Students must complete HLTH10223 – Preplacement/Clinical Services, not part of the program of study, to ensure all required preplacement clearances are up-to date. Students will not be approved to register in this course if their preplacement requirements are not up-to date. All requirements must also be valid throughout the duration of your clinical.

Nursing Care of Children with Cardio/Respiratory Disorders (NRSG10066) AND Nursing Care of Children with GI & Metabolic Disorders (NRSG10067) AND Nursing Care of Children with Altered Musculoskeletal, Neurological and Sensory Function (NRSG10068) AND Nursing Care of Children with Hematological, Oncological Problems & Palliative Care Needs (NRSG10069) AND Pediatric Mental Health (NRSG10121)
